Target 4.1: By 2030, substantially increase the number of youth and adults who have relevant skills, including technical and vocational skills, for employment, decent jobs and entrepreneurship.

Project Description:

In the recent past, Kenya has witnessed tremendous economic and infrastructure development, but gainful employment, especially for young people remains limited. Lack of technical, social, and entrepreneurial skills, coupled with limited government job opportunities, has been blamed for this situation. Research has shown that sustainable livelihoods is a key component of holistic peacebuilding. Thus, youth must have descent sources of livelihoods for communities to achieve sustainable peace. This project aims to build the capacities of young people and assist them in exploring innovative ways of earning a decent income by promoting skills and talent development and inculcating value-based learning.

Project Activities:

. Organize training in income-generating skills.
. Organize training in business management skills.
. Develop and incubate social entrepreneurship ideas.
. Create a network and market for member’s livelihoods products.
. Identify, nature, and promote talents .

Key Achievements:

. We organize an annual national youth leadership training camp.
. Our Mr & Miss PAK pageant that has produced 7 Miss Tourism County winners and Miss Universe Africa 2018.
. We ran a Book Club, a Photography Club, Cooking Club, Writers Club and Do it Your Self training club.
. We conduct regular forums on employability skills.
. Our members have won international talent and skills-based competitions .
