Target 3.3: By 2030, end the epidemics of AIDS, tuberculosis, malaria and neglected tropical diseases and combat hepatitis, water-borne diseases and other infectious diseases.
Target 3.4: By 2030, reduce by one-third premature mortality from non-communicable diseases through prevention and treatment and promote mental health and well-being.
Target 3.5: Strengthen the prevention and treatment of substance abuse, including narcotic drug abuse and harmful use of alcohol.

Project Description:
This project is designed to help improve the health of communities through education, promotion of healthy lifestyles, and disease awareness campaigns. The project utilizes the skills of PAK members undertaking health studies to analyze the effect on the health of local communities and their environment to develop basic interventions that improve individual and community health. As a public health project, PAK health professionals try to prevent problems from happening or re-occurring through awareness campaigns.
Project Activities:
Blood Donor Club
. Organize blood donation drives.
. Create awareness on blood donation and safety issues.
. Sensitize young people to become regular blood donors.
Anti-Jigger Campaign
. Conduct jigger fumigation and treatment.
. Advocate for socio-economic jigger eradication interventions.
Community health outreach
. Sensitize the public on disease prevention and management.
. Conduct reproductive health and behavioral change campaigns.
. Conduct first aid training.
. Conduct awareness campaigns on drug and substance abuse.
Key Achievements:
. We mobilize at least 2000 pints of blood for National Blood Bank annually.
. We have created a blood donors club that responds to medical emergencies .
. We have eradicated jiggers in 6 villages in South Teso.
. We organize regular public forums and medical camps on health issues.
